Join us this summer for a creative journey at North City School of Art, where young artists can explore the world of Fine Arts and Textile Design through two engaging and exciting programs.

Program 1: Crafting, Coloring & Clay Painting (Ages 6 to 10)

This fun and interactive program is perfect for younger children who are eager to express their creativity. Through a variety of hands-on activities, kids will explore the world of crafting, coloring, and clay painting, developing both their fine motor skills and artistic imagination.

Activities include:

  • Crafting: Creating simple yet exciting projects with paper, fabric, and other materials.
  • Coloring Techniques: Exploring different coloring mediums like crayons, markers, and watercolors to bring their artwork to life.
  • Clay Painting: Introducing children to clay and teaching them how to shape and paint their own clay figures and designs.
  • Creative Exploration: Encouraging artistic expression through fun and engaging projects that allow children to experiment with colors, shapes, and textures.

This program helps foster creativity, improves hand-eye coordination, and allows children to develop their own unique style.

Program 2: Fine Arts & Textile Design (Ages 11 to 15)

Designed for older children and teens, this program combines the fundamentals of Fine Arts with an introduction to Textile Design. Participants will learn techniques in drawing, painting, and textile arts, working on projects that blend both visual art and fabric design.

Activities include:

  • Drawing & Painting: Developing skills in sketching, shading, and using watercolors and acrylic paints to create detailed artwork.
  • Textile Design: Learning basic fabric manipulation techniques such as tie-dyeing, fabric painting, and embroidery.
  • Design Projects: Creating unique designs on fabric, such as custom t-shirts, tote bags, or wall hangings, while learning about the basics of textile arts and design principles.
  • Project-Based Learning: Teens will have the opportunity to complete a personal project that integrates both fine arts and textile design, giving them a sense of accomplishment and ownership over their work.
